Conveniently located within 5 mins walk of train station and on way into centre. Friendly staff on reception. Spacious rooms that are clean and warm with tea/coffee and large TV.
Premier Inns have their place: a weekend with the boys - yes, a weekend with the missus - no. This particular Premier Inn evokes all the charm of a 1960s brutalist office block but it is what it is, you know the score. I like the utilitarian nature of it all but I was saddened by the lack of plug sockets by the beds, come on its the 21st century, we need to charge our iPhones! I did like the parking under the hotel though, I guess you cant have it all.

Generally like premier inn but was moved here because the one we booked was being renovated. And we agreed as it turned out to be very close to our venue we were attending. But We had no hot water in our room for 2days of 5day stay, was told engineer coming and given single room to shower in those days until we asked about being moved room. Carpets dirty and stained, clumps of hair in both showers we used. Otherwise it was not noisy, breakfast was good and dining not crowded as anticipated. Free parking too. Staff were nice though short staffed so appeared stressed.
I was pleasantly surprised by this location. Most city centre hotels have very small rooms but this bedroom was a very good size and the bathroom had a full size bath. Parking on site was free although limited in numbers and secure. Breakfast was a little bit of a let down in that the fried eggs were that tough I couldn't get my fork through them. Would stay again though.
