Reception staff always friendly and helpful. Vets all knowledgeable and know about our pets quirks (one is so scared of visits to the vet) so make sure they are calmed down and safe.
The staff aren't supportive, they've given conflicting information regarding my pets health. I gave them a chance to explain what had happened but i've lost trust in them and will be going to the one in fosse park instead.
Excellent service. Couldn't be better.
Recently I had my cat blood tested for allergies. First off, they didn't take enough blood . . . part of me thinks surely before taking blood, you should know how much is needed, just like before giving anaesthetic or meds, but ok, mistakes happen. This meant that I had to take my cat back in, which caused more stress to us both (they then couldn't get enough/more from the neck so used both legs), and left me 20 out of pocket for a taxi there & back. (If a staff member makes a mistake, even a genuine one, the customer shouldn't be out of pocket due to it, and they were aware of me needing to get a taxi)On to the results; I managed to get someone to tell me what allergies my cat has, so then a discussion is needed with the Vet to decide upon treatment. At first, the Vet was helpful and said he'd make time whenever I could get in, as being disabled i'm never sure when i'll have a good day, but as time went on, and my health got worse, I explained to him I couldn't come in, and could he tell me by email/phoneI explained I was with the mental health crisis team, due to a relapse, was in a very bad way, that the worry over my cat wasn't helping (she's been inside for months with a collar on and was still able to chew her leg), and that not knowing was meaning she couldn't be treated. Jatinder refused to just tell me what we could do, to discuss it by email or phone, and wouldn't even say *why* it had to be in person.I'm sorry but paying 300+ for a blood test he'd quoted at 200 (surely a blood test price could be checked and isn't variable such as with surgery etc), to then not get any treatment plan (pet sitter was going to bring her in for that if I couldn't) isn't okOn top of that, I had an appointment for her booster vaccination, with Jatinder, so planned to also discuss things then; however, he'd had to change shift. I'd expect reception to call me and say 'Hello, unfortunately Jatinder has had to change shifts so you'll be seeing Sali, however, we realise you've waited a long time for the results and Sali can't give them to you, so did you want to change appointment?' . . I only found out because I happened to call to make sure they'd have the treatment plan in writing on the day and got told then, as an afterthoughtWhen she was vaccinated, I had to demand medication to help her, and the Vet couldn't tell me a treatment plan as she didn't want to interfere with Jatinder's plan (tho nobody knew what that was). Some smaller annoyances are that I asked if there was a bigger cone collar she could have, and got told no, but nothing more. I asked if she could be bandaged, and got told no, not *why* she couldn't be. I also asked if she could at least go out now, and the Vet went on about tail injuries in the wind (good point, but he totally ignored the topic, he knew I meant due to her allergies)To me, if you refuse to give test results/treatment plans, and a customer loses out financially due to a mistake, AND you misquote a blood test by over 100, it delays treatment for the pet and causes unneccessary discomfort/suffering, it causes stress to the owner, especially if their cats are all they have, and the other cat is missing too, and they are mentally so unwell they are with a crisis team AND ia results in a bad review (I give good ones, and have, when deserved too), the client putting in a complaint, and moving practice. Not good business sense. All I wanted was an apology, an explanation as to why he couldn't give me the results by phone *or* the info by phone, and maybe the 20 back I had to pay out to bring Luna in again, tho now I think the overquote should be part refunded too, as it had to be done and due to mental health i'm very impulsive and went in expecting 200 then when told 312 had to payI complained, and even in the response I was only told what I already knew, that there'd been numerous cancelled appointments to discuss it (I KNOW, as I was too ill to come in, and had asked to be told by phone, and for the reason why I couldn't be) . . totally ignored the actual point of the complaint
A great friendly atmosphere which made me and my dog feel at ease. Nothing was too much trouble even when I got a little confused over the medications to give my dog. The vet was happy to explain to me again until I knew what I had to do for my dog. Th care and compassion shown by the staff was eminent and genuine. I have changed my vets permanently to Vets 4 Pets now and I am glad as nothing is too much trouble for them. I therefore recommend them to anyone.
