Great service and very friendly staff

From my partners initial consultation to her carpel tunnel operation there was nothing we could find fault with, friendly, informative, caring & professional staff, thank you everyone (all too easy for people to criticise, but rarely given praise when is due)

From Mr Davison my surgeon to the nurses to the healthcare assistants and the hospitality team these people are fantastic I spent 4 nights here in what was a very stressful time for me they were so kind to me nothing was to much trouble the attention I received was second to none I would have no hesitation in coming to this hospital again I cant thank them all enough

Terrible terrible experience this evening. My husband has been waiting a few weeks for an appointment with Mr Durhan, we arrived 15 minutes ahead of the appointment. 45 minutes went by and there was still no sign that we were going to be seen anytime soon. I went to reception and explained that we had been waiting for 45 minutes and that we needed to go soon due to my husband catching a flight. She said she would see why Mr Durhan was running so far behind, she rang and there was no answer in his room. After waiting in the appropriate waiting area for a further 15 minutes another member of reception staff asked if she could speak with us in a private room. She went onto say that she didnt know where Mr Durhan was and that he wasnt in his consultation room. I couldnt quite believe it, so he didnt appear to be there and no one knew were he was? Absolutely fuming that both my husband and I wasted an entire evening, both left work early only to be told that they had no idea where the consultant was? Not the type of service I expect from a hospital at all. Very very very poor, shall be going back through the NHS.

I have mixed feelings about this hospital. On one hand the only doctors who have ever given me their full attention and support work here. I'm so grateful to finally be on the path to a diagnosis. On the other hand, I have met the single rudest nurse here. I have been charged extortionate prices for medication that the doctor who prescribed it knew I couldn't take. He told me to try a lactose free diet to minimise my symptoms, then put me on tablets containing lactose. 59 for nothing is pretty ridiculous. Finally, I arranged what I thought was a consultation and found out on the day that it was a treatment that took half a day. A surprise endoscopy is never welcome.
