I have been shopping here on & off for a while as I was persuaded that they are cheaper. They may be cheaper for some things but the quality is poor - e.g. 'fresh' fruit & veg is off within a couple of days. This stores selling point for me was the fresh pastries but these have dramatically shrunk in size & no longer seem so fresh. Some of the staff are friendly but others are markedly ignorant. Must admit, back to Tesco for me..
Store layout is clear and everything is easy to find. Staff were extremely helpful and knowledgeable. Isles were wide enough for wheelchair/pushchair access and disabled toilet available.
What can I say! It's a Lidl! There are only 3 reasons why I go to Lidl, 1. For the Gin at 15 a bottle. 2. For the Nespresso compatible coffee pods. 3. For the fresh bakery products. Once I have those anything else is a bonus, as I am yet to find a product sold by Lidl that I don't like when comparing to the bigger Supermarkets. This particular Lidl is not my local but I was passing and needing shipping. (The 3 things I mentioned above) so I popped in. One Lidl is the same as the next, you know what to expect, you know where everything is, and the staff are usually very friendly.
Great shop for budget shopping with helpful staff. However, can somebody do something about the shrinking fresh pastries... ?
I'm sure most branches of Lidl are identical to each other, so if you have been into one you will have a good idea what to expect here. This branch has a toilet and a reasonable car park, but getting out onto Fosse Road during rush hour can be very difficult. The staff here are nice.
