A great park that is well maintained by the caring staff, our dogs loved the open spaces and woodlands to explore.And a well run cafe to relax in too.Even in the middle of winter.
Cold day. Boating pool water was green. Typical winter's day in park, that is normally a nice park with lots of flower beds, and a miniature train for people to ride on.
We love spending time in Abbey park. Peaceful place, the most relaxing place will be always in the nature.
Steeped in history Abbey Park is the final resting place of Cardinal Wolsey. It features a caf with ramped access, which is a little steep for self propelled wheelchairs. The River Soar flows right through the park and has a very ornate bridge over it. There are themed flower gardens, a miniature railway that runs more often in the summer. A playground, sports fields and a pets corner with goats, rabbits and birds. Parking is reasonably priced.
