The whole chicken is nice.. beef strips are alright - nothing special. Way overpriced (unless you have connections )
They drown their pencil-thin and overcooked "steaks" in a sea of ketchup, even when told no ketchup you get lots of ketchup served with a side of soggy ketchup chips. Service is dire. Avoid.
Tasty steak chips with gazebo sauce mayo and I get cheese too. Burgers are good quality grilled.
I've been a customer of JP for maybe 10 years- since the days it was a tiny takeaway with African huts painted on the wall. I remember, despite the relatively high prices, eating there weekly due to the high level of customer service and quality of food (which I think was down to the fact the owner himself worked the kitchen back then). Some time after the expansion, prices hiked suddenly. This was coupled with a significant reduction in the quality of food and customer service, which reduced my visits significantly. I think this was because the owner was no longer at the takeaway keeping a check on things.There has been another massive price hike (Nov 2018). A takeaway chicken fillet burger meal is priced at 5.50. Chicken fillet is almost always thin. Will probably visit only on occasion now. Would really love to see the owner come back to get a grip on quality and service.
Got food from here last night. 3 burgers with chips. They tasted out of date. The donner was dry and the chicken was definately out of date. The food is over priced. 5.00 for a burger with small portion of chips. What a rip off, the chicken fillet on the burger was small compared to the bun. I have been puking all day, its not great.I wasted 20 quid on out of date food.I DO NOT RECOMMEND COMING HERE OR BUYING FOOD FROM HERE. WASTE OF MONEY.
