Lovely small heritage GCR station with a pre grouping theme. There is a period goods centre, lamp room and cafe on site. Across car park is another cafe.
Lovely Station, great garden railway in the station yard and really nice coffee and cake at the cake.
Excellent day out and wonderful piece of history
One of a few stations on the old Great Central Line, Rothley offers an opportunity to step back to the time of Steam, and enjoy the history that envelopes you. I visit with my camera now and again to try and capture some of that historical atmosphere.
