This was a disappointing first visit to the Queen's Road kitchen. The food took 20 minutes to arrive (10 minutes longer than stated). When the food did arrive, my chicken bowl was barely warm and with large chunks of unseparated rice, and the broth was a little bland. The music was fairly loud, floor covered in rice, dirty skirting boards and the wrong drink had been made for another customer waiting in line. I really like Grounded Kitchen usually, but this experience was very disappointing. I'll stick to the one in the city centre.
Let me just start with I am a regular customer and have eaten food from here on a fairly regular basis. I love the food and the fact that it is something unique and original in Leicester. Its tasty, theres a good variety of ingredients, options to suit different dietary requirements and now theres even a new menu with more to choose from. I havent personally found any issues with the wait times and each time my order has been ready when I arrive to pick it up. I dont bother trying to eat in there because it is small and very popular, not to mention the phone ringing off the hook and the constant flow of people coming to collect their meals. Its not really the place to go for a long, quiet sit-down meal, more of a casual place to pop into for lunch on your own if anything!
Food is much tastier than expected when reading the description! Healthy fast food and still filling. Just not much space inside to sit.
Delicious fresh Korean-style food - bowls of rice, lots of veg, and your choice of tofu, chicken or beef, optionally topped with chillies and cashews. I've been using this place quite a lot, and they've extended their menu with new options. Sometimes a bit of a wait, but it's worth it!
Nice and simple menu but very tasty. Variety for meat eaters and vegans. Great teas and other hot drinks catered for different dietary requirements. Quick service, great customer service. I recommend this place for brunch, lunch or a very light dinner
