I HAVE RECENTLY ON 16TH. AUG.18. INSTALLED THE BOSCH WORCESTER BOILER BY FARTHING PLUMBING AND HEATING.I AM VERY HAPPY WITH THE ENGINEERS WHO INSTALLED MY BOILER . FIRST OF ALL WENT TO SEE THE FARTHING BOILERS SHOWROOM AND WAS VERY IMPRESSED WITH PAUL FARTHING WHO EXPLAINED ME VERY CLEARLY AND VERY SIMPLE TECHNICALLY THE ADVANTAGES AND DISADVANTAGES AND SHOWER WATER PRESSURE OF DIFFERENT SIZE BOILERS.ALSO ALL HIS TEAM MEMBERS IN THE OFFICE WERE VERY HELP FULL TOO.I WILL RECOMMEND TO EVERYBODY TO VISIT FARTHING FIRST BEFORE MAKING A DECISION FOR NEW BOILER.
We had a wet room installed 2 years ago. It was only 2 years. Since then we have had water under the tiles. The plug hole broken in the sink and a leaking toilet. My Husband mended the plug hole. We had them back to redo the floor tiles which took a couple of weeks of disruption, lies and bad service. When they came out to mend the toilet leak the cistern wasn't fixed to the wall correctly and there was no doughnut ring between bowl and cistern. Poor fitting yet they had the cheek to charge us. When I rang to querie the bill the person I spoke to said he did boilers not bathrooms and he would get the appropriate person to ring me. Weeks later I am still waiting for a call back and we have received another invoice. I have tried to ring and left a message. Not yet had a response. POOR POOR POOR. They cannot even get our names correct on the paper work. You have obviously not fully read the review. THERE WAS NO DOUGHNUT RING INSTALLED IT WAS JUST A VERY THIN PIECE OF FOAM.
AVOID..AVOID..AVOID This company.. FARTHINGS GAS BOILERS....The worst experience iv ever had with a gas boiler company. They came to fit a boiler had to have them out three times to fix problems that occurred within 6 weeks of having a brand new boiler and a flush. They charge a fortune and I feel ripped off. If contacted the ombudsmen to take this further but it's such a slow process. I wish I had never had them anywhere near my property. AVOID these cowboys. They might have been around a long while but they are a total rip-off.
DON'T GET TAKEN-INPlease believe the poor feedback given by other reviewers. My advice is - Do not use Farthings under any circumstances - they are the worst company we have ever dealt with. The rules on Google reviews do not allow you to award no stars so I gave them only one. I wish we had checked all the reviews before choosing Farthings because this company is definitely not to be trusted.Dont be taken in (as we did) by their stylish showroom or their website which appears to be trustworthy. Being a Which? Trusted trader plus members of the Age UK Business Directory make potential customers feel confident. However, there are no regulations for these schemes, and they are not independent of all private interests. Most people are unaware that these organisations actually receive payment from Farthings for recommending their services and allowing use of their logo on promotional leaflets!Farthings did not contact the local planning office to organise planning consent prior to the start of our en-suite bathroom which extended into the garage, so we did this ourselves. The buildings inspector duly arrived as expected and insisted on safety alterations to the work on each of her visits. There was no Site Plan issued to the workman who could not hide his dissatisfaction at having to do the extra work. The guy they sent may be an experienced bathroom fitter, but he was definitely not a qualified builder. Farthings expected him to also do bricklaying, plumbing, carpentry, window-fitting, tiling and floor-laying - in fact he did everything except for the plastering and electrics which were contracted out.The framework was shoddy according to a friend (a qualified carpenter) who inspected the new doorway to our bedroom. Knocking through the wall loosened the plaster and we paid the plasterer an extra 500 to fit new plasterboard and re-plaster the entire bedroom wall. We were very disappointed with the workmanship overall, and I even had to contact the planning office again after they had finished the job to apply for a building certificate. The office never returned our phone calls, and Daryl Farthing did not deal with problems in an up-front and professional manner by returning to inspect our complaints. In fact nobody ever called to discuss snagging at any time. Instead of attempting to rectify the situation his written response was very threatening when demanding payment. Judging by previous comments made in these reviews, threatening old age pensioners to add extra charges if payment was not made immediately is a normal reaction from this company. Avoid Farthings like the plague, or take the chance of being ripped off.
After reading a few bad reviews about Farthings, I decided to give them the benefit of the doubt and book them to come and take a look at my bathroom with the intention of a complete re-fit. We were told that I was booked in and somebody would be round at 10am.At 10.30am, I rang Farthings to ask where are they. I expected to be told that they had been a delay or something along those lines. Instead I was told that I wasn't even booked in for a visit! I was told that they would get somebody round as soon as possible. I told them to leave it. If they can't even organise somebody to have a look at my bathroom how could I trust them to fit an entire new bathroom that will cost me thousands of pounds!Believe the reviews! They may of been good at what they do at some point, but they certainly aren't now.
