Have you ever gone to Leicester and thought "I would love to look around here on foot but unfortunately I am in a car!", Well my friend, worry no more! This is a place where, for a somewhat ridiculous amount of money, you can park your car for a period. You can pay by cash, by text, or on your cellular device! Whoever thought of this 'car stopping centre' must be a genius. Just remember not to be a numpty: you must actually park between the lines, otherwise lots of people will be saying horrible things about you behind your back, no-one will like you, and when you die people will bury themselves really really close to your coffin, perhaps even on top of it, so you can spend the rest of eternity knowing how it feels :)
By some way, the worst car park I have had the displeasure of going to. 13 for two hours? Check! Urine smell throughout two sets of stairs? Check? Guy shooting up in the stairwell? Check! There's a Court around the corner, which is appropriate, because this place is criminal. Park ANYWHERE but there.
Stink Hole! The "car park" is evidently being used as a public toilet from the smell and physical marks in the staircase. If this were a free car park without gates i could be more understanding however, it's not cheap to park and the operator's should look to resolve the obvious misuse. Yesterday, there were used syringes on the stairs!!!! This needs a resolution.
I had the misfortune of using this car park recently. Its just awful. Very narrow spaces including a large number at the end of rows that really could only be used for small cars (eg a Mini or a Smart Car). The car park is ridiculously expensive, the stairwells smell of urine and in one of them I saw something that looked very much like a humans turd! I certainly wasnt getting close enough to look, but whatever it was was disgusting. I discovered there are lifts on my return to the car park, but only one of these was working. I know its just a car park, but it was very dirty and smelly - I guess they dont invest any money back in to at least try to keep it slightly less disgusting! Given the amount you are paying, I would expect a little better to be honest. I wouldnt use this car park again - Id rather park further away and walk further to be perfectly honest. Its location is also down quite a remote road. Its not far from the main road, but its out of the way enough that I wouldnt have felt safe there at night time.
Convenient for shopping, train station and sports stadiums, but pretty expensive for a short stay.Updated 26/03 - terrible experience yesterday - barrier at exit jammed so dozens of cars were stuck in the car park for over 30 mins. Very inconvenient and a real safety concern.
