Ginns and Gutteridge, it has taken me 10 months to try and find the words to describe your service at my fathers funeral. As an 18 year old girl I am not experienced in the funeral department but I certainly do know about respect and empathy when being around grieving family members, especially under the shocking circumstances of my Dads death. I will not go into detail as for me I don't want my personal experience plastered over the internet. But just to give you a brief idea of how the day went, my father was WHEELED into our church with no fragility or care with our local Vicar having to put an altar cloth over the trolley because he couldn't quite believe that we were going to see our Father wheeled on a steel framed bar with little wheels. Another moment was when my Dad was leaving the church, which is as you can imagine a very emotional moment for us, the Funeral directors phone went off, the disrespect and utter disgust of this moment boils my blood even to this day. Your service was appalling, the sympathy was outrageous and I hope that this never happens to anyone else. If my mother were to review then she would tell you that the planning was terrible too. Please do not use Ginns and Gutteridge, an absolute disgrace. Yours sincerely Tilly Wheeler
Absolutely appalling service. My nan was buried in a plot where her daughter was already buried. We asked for a clean of the existing stonework and new engraving on the headstone. 2 years after my nan's passing the grave has still not been restored. The surround is not even level and they have lost a stone angel from the original grave. We are constantly having to chase them. Their customer service during your period of grieving is appalling. Avoid at all costs.
