have literally been trying to call all morning to get the phone not even ring just go through to line busy beep and hang up? so so unprofessional?
There's about 1 decent precessional here. At one point had to call over 80 times in the morning just to get in the queue. I'm actually shocked by how bad it is. If you have extra funding because it's a student surgery and have a massive influx of people every year why not upgrade a bit or train your staff a bit better.. Would be so convenient but it's so frustrating I don't think the stress is worth it. Will probably be moving surgeries.
I think some reviewers on here expect too much from a busy NHS surgery. I like this practice. The GPs (apart from one) listen empathetically and let you put more than one ailment to them. The mental health nurse and the Advanced Practitioner are also very good, as are the nurses. The receptionists are mainly friendly and helpful. Often phone lines are very busy but most GPs surgeries are. I am glad I changed my GP surgery to this one. The only drawback is lack of parking.
Been at this surgery for 13yrs. The doctors,nurses and staff are great (well except for a few). Can be a struggle to get appoitments at times but generally can't complain. Best doctors surgery I have used
The only reason I am giving this a 4 is purely because I came across one amazing Nurse (I assume). And thats Tanya. And it is the only reason I have remained at this surgery. I am sure and seen that there are some great doctors that in fact do some great work. Also it is extremely clean and up to date. HOWEVER. Absolutely impossible getting appointments & god forbid you have a serious problem. I have been sent to a practice 40 minutes away. Having to spend money and petrol for being sick. Your only other option is to go through the 111 service or a&e which are equally as slow. There is a reason people sign up to the GP they have (most likely location)!! Spending 1 hour trying to get through and no appointments for over a week now. I dont understand why this surgery accepts a number of people that does NOT reflect their capacity. Such a shame :(
